First look: Perimeter
We take a quick look at K-D Lab's upcoming real-time strategy game based on terraforming.
Russian developer K-D Lab is working on a futuristic real-time strategy game that is based on territory seizure and terraforming. In the game, players control a colony on one of a series of interconnected worlds, and they must expand that colony by gaining land using military units, terraforming that land into an inhabitable area, and then setting up perimeter force barriers for protection.
The game is set in a detailed sci-fi universe, and it features an epic single-player campaign that spans several centuries. The story centers on a society that left Earth long ago and now struggles for survival in a hostile universe. In addition to the single-player mode, the game will include a multiplayer mode that supports both LAN and Internet connections.
No publisher or release date has been announced at this time. For more information about Perimeter, visit the game's official Web site.
