First Official Doctor Strange Image Shows Star Benedict Cumberbatch in Costume
It's a kind of magic
Production started on Marvel's Doctor Strange last month, and although some early leaked photos showed star Benedict Cumberbatch on-set, they didn't indictate how he might look in his full costume. Now the first official image has been released, revealing Cumberbatch as mystical sorcerer Stephen Strange. Check it out here, via: EW:

Appearing alongside Cumberbatch will be 12 Years a Slave Oscar-winner Chiwetel Ejiofor as the evil Baron Mordo, plus Tilda Swinton as Strange's mentor, the Ancient One. Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelsen also star, and the film is directed by Sinister's Scott Derrickson.
In an interview with EW, Cumberbatch spoke about the unusual physical requirements of his new role. "I've got to keep throwing these poses, these spells, these rune-casting things," he said. "I'm thinking, there's going to be a huge amount of speculation and intrigue over the positioning of that finger as opposed to it being there, or there. And I'm still working on that. We haven't played any of those scenes yet. I felt really self-conscious. But, then, by the end, it was great. It's like anything, you just have to experiment."
Doctor Strange will be only the second Marvel film to break from the tradition of a summer release. Appropriately enough it is coming to cinemas a few days after Halloween, on November 4, 2016.
