Check Out Resident Evil 3 Remake's First Trailers
Take a look at some footage of the upcoming horror remake.
It's official: Capcom is releasing a remake of Resident Evil 3 next year. Sony confirmed the news during today's State of Play stream, where it unveiled the first footage of the rumored remake and announced its release date: April 3, 2020.
The announcement trailer, which you can watch below, gives us our first glimpse at this reimagined version of the classic horror game. The video showcases protagonist Jill Valentine's new look as she runs through a burning building from antagonist Nemesis. Much like this year's critically acclaimed Resident Evil 2, the Resident Evil 3 remake forgoes the fixed camera angles of the original for a third-person, over-the-shoulder viewpoint.
Following the reveal, Capcom released a second Resident Evil 3 remake trailer, this one featuring commentary from producers Masachika Kawata and Peter Fabiano. The developers give an overview of the game and showcase some more gameplay footage. The trailer also provides a new look at the asymmetrical multiplayer experience Resident Evil Resistance, which is being included in the Resident Evil 3 remake. You can watch that trailer below.
