Following Child Sex Conviction, Adam Johnson Is Purged From FIFA 16
Former Sunderland player faces a five-year prison sentence; Name also wiped from PES 2016 and Football Manager.
The name and likeness of disgraced professional footballer Adam Johnson has been removed from several soccer games in the wake of his child sex convictions.
Johnson, a former England international and Sunderland midfielder, was found guilty last week for engaging in sexual activity with a 15 year-old schoolgirl. He was cleared of another count that alleged she had performed a sexual act on him.
The 28 year-old player, who was believed to earn about £60,000 ($85,000) per week, was dismissed by Sunderland AFC in February after pleading guilty to one count of grooming and one count of kissing the victim.
He will be sentenced later in March and faces a five-year prison sentence, with a range of four to 10 years.

Electronic Arts told GameSpot that Johnson had been removed from the game but that more time would be needed to purge his name and data from all modes.
“Adam Johnson has been removed from the Active Rosters of both Sunderland and England in FIFA 16. We’re working to remove him from other modes within the game as soon as possible.”
FIFA 16 was the UK's best-selling game of 2015.
Johnson has also been wiped from other soccer games such as Football Manager and Pro Evolution Soccer, according to Digital Spy.
