ESPN began running marathons of lesser known sports under The Ocho in 2017 as a reference to Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Since 2017, ESPN has occasionally rebranded one of its secondary channels as ESPN 8: The Ocho to explore the wide world of sports.
Some of the sports included:
- Johnsonville ACL Cornhole Championships: 2020 Kickoff Battle
- 2019 Death Diving World Championship
- 2019 Stupid Robot Fighting League
- 2019 Spikeball College Championship
- 2019 Golden Tee World Championship
- 2018 Classic Tetris World Championship
Fortnite has hosted a number of events in its Party Royale mode, including a Travis Scott concert and, most recently, a Diplo concert. In other Fortnite news, the long-awaited drivable trucks and cars will be coming to the battle royale on August 5.
