Fortnite Coming To Nintendo Switch, According To Ratings Board
Would you play Fortnite on Nintendo Switch?
A version of Epic's smash hit Fortnite may be coming to Nintendo Switch, as previously rumored. The game is already available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS (with an Android version coming this summer), and now it's been rated for Switch by the Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC). Ratings board listings are not official announcements, but they're often a reliable source of information about new, unconfirmed game releases.
The rating was published recently, on June 1, though this doesn't necessarily mean the port will launch imminently. An Epic Games representative told GameSpot the publisher had no comment to make regarding the rumors, as is to be expected.
It's not clear as yet whether the port will include Battle Royale, Save the World (still in early access on other platforms), or both. However, with E3 just around the corner, we may hear more soon: we already know the game will have a booth at the show where you can play Fortnite and win "exclusive prizes." A Switch version hasn't seemed out of the question since Epic revealed its plans to bring the game to mobile, where it runs surprisingly well.
All other versions of Fortnite received a new update just recently, adding Shopping Carts, Mushrooms, and two limited-time modes to Battle Royale. In addition, Fortnite's Season 4, Week 5 challenges are live now.
