Forza 6 Leaves Beta on PC, Adds Wheel Support
Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is now a finished product that's still free on the Windows 10 Store.
Forza Motorsport 6: Apex leaves its beta phase today. The racing-simulation game will remain free-to-play, and a new update today will add racing wheel support for a number of peripherals.
Wheels supported in today's update are:
- Logitech G27 Racing Wheel
- Logitech G25 Racing Wheel
- Logitech G29 Racing Wheel
- Logitech MOMO Force Feedback Racing Wheel
- Thrustmaster T300RS
- Thrustmaster T500 RS Gaming Wheel
- Logitech G920 Xbox One Wheel
- Thrustmaster T150
- Thrustmaster TX Xbox One Wheel
- Thrustmaster TMX Xbox One Wheel
- Thrustmaster RGT Force Feedback Racing Wheel
Developer Turn 10 Studios says support for Fanatec wheels such as the ClubSport V2 Xbox One Hub and Fanatec CSR models arrives in late September. Logitech H-pattern shifters, except for the G29 are fully supported. G29 support will be added later.
Apex's open beta launched back in May with 4K support, which you'll need a high-end rig to take advantage of. You can check out the minimum and recommended specs at the bottom of this article.
All future games in the Forza series will come to PC in addition to consoles. Forza Horizon 3 is set to release for both Xbox One and PC on September 27. The third Horizon game is a part of Xbox's Play Anywhere program. This means that if you buy it digitally on Xbox One, you get the PC version for free and vice versa.
