GameSpot -- 8/10

"As merely the second installment for the Xbox One, Forza Motorsport 6 not only keeps up with the high bar set by Forza 5, it capitalizes on that foundation of quality. The Mod system and the weather effects are reasons enough for Forza 5 enthusiasts to seriously consider this sequel and the abundance of difficulty and assist options makes Forza 6 an immensely accessible driving simulation for newcomers." - Miguel Concepcion [Full review]

IGN -- 9/10

"Like a big bucket of Hot Wheels brought to life, Forza Motorsport 6 is first-order car porn for the automobile obsessed but remains an accessible and exciting racer for those who just want to drive fast in something red with a horse logo on it. It’s spinning its wheels in a few areas but what's here is undoubtedly some of the finest racing you can find on console and easily worth the upgrade from Forza 5." - Luke Reilly [Full review]

AutoBlog

Forza Motorsport 6 will to appeal to a lot of gamers, whether they be casual or serious racing fans. But more than any one group, FM6 going to lure in those who were disappointed by Forza 5. This is a far more complete, entertaining, and engaging game in every way." - Brandon Turkus [Full reivew]

Polygon -- 8/10 (Provisional)

"The loss of Top Gear doesn't prevent control improvements from making their mark on Forza. With the loss of some of its personality, Forza Motorsport 6 sometimes feels like a little less than the sum of many much improved parts, and there are certain quality-of-life changes that feel increasingly overdue. But these are only distractions, bumps in the road that make Forza feel 'just' great when looked at from a distance. And in the playing, Turn 10 feels like it's found its line even more effectively." - Arthur Gies [Full review]

Destructoid -- 9.5/10

"Forza 6 is the new king of simulation racing." - Chris Cater [Full review]

GamesRadar -- 3/5

"This is a true showcase for Xbox One in every area except the racing. Inconsistent difficulty, random payouts, and way too many dull events seriously spoil the party." - Justin Towell [Full review]

DigitalSpy -- 5/5

"Forza Motorsport 6 is a terrific game. It misses a few minor beats, with yet another career mode that throws you straight in there, and good god the serious attitude of the game is sickening at best. But this is one of the best driving simulations out there: it's the game launch title Forza 5 really should have been. We're a bit spoiled for choice in great driving games this console generation, and Forza 6 screeches in and finds itself a place at the head of the table with consummate ease. Your move, Driveclub, Project Cars, and Gran Turismo." - Ian Dransfield [Full review]

@Alurit: Meh as much as I like NFS it'll never be that good, because they always stick to stupid "catch up" system which ruins the game. And of course cheating AI which is even worse.

Oh yeah and cheating AI which is actually the worst in said Most Wanted game, compared to all other NFS titles, just remember that last race, and later when you actually win that car, how crap it is...

So we now have the 3rd straight X1 racing game better than Driveclub lol. Why the X1 is losing to the PS4, I have no freaking clue.

@rickphoenixxx: Well... there's specs and price... I mean you're paying higher price for inferior system (I personally don't care about 1080p, but still...), and then there was all that crap on launch, most of which they dropped, albeit way too late

And then there's the fact that jRPGs have become so popular and over 90% of them won't appear on XBOXOne, and Sony doesn't even have to bother with securing them as exclusives (tho they did secure FFVIIRemake).

And let's not forget some great exclusives that PS4 has (like The Last Guardian, or whole LBP series).

I don't care about FPS games on consoles, nor do I like GoW, and honestly only series which are interesting to me from whole XBOX collection of exclusives are Forza games, but I'd never fork my money on console just because of racing games.

@rickphoenixxx: maybe because the PS4 give its users variety . Sony takes chances with their exclusives. Until dawn, Order 1886, Horizon Zero Dawn, Rachet & Clank, Rpg's, family games, etc... Xbox only has bro shooters and Forza. I own a Xbox One also, and I shouldn't have to force myself to turn it on.

@sonypony4eva: If I had a PS4 I would be playing all the usual third party games, and Bloodborne. The Order:1886 is variety? Lol come on now, it's as generic and short a game as they come- the retail price should have been $18.86. Sony should have "taken a chance" and added a 6th hour to that game. Infamous SS is ok, but nothing i'd choose to play over S.O.

Is Killzone a "Bro shooter" like Halo? Perhaps it's a more sophisticated shooter because it's on a PS?

Are the upcoming games Scalebound and Quantum Theory typical X Box games?

Is PSNow superior to actual free backwards compatibility? The PS4 has it's strengths sure, but in the key areas that matter it's behind the X1. Man, that Bloodborne is great tho.

@i_p_daily: Great news. Thanx. I hate that this gen they've mostly abandoned it for online co-op. Which makes sense for PC. Not for consoles.

@wkadalie: Have to disagree there. The moment consoles embraced LAN, and Online it makes perfect sense.

As for abandoning local split-screen co-op, I am neither here nor their on it, until it starts to infringe on online/LAN. Split-screen really takes away from the experience for me so I stay away from it.

@razor_rj: forza uses higher res and poly count models in replays and at game startup then in the actual game, the first forza game I played was forza 4 that used that trick as well, but it is not very noticable during gameplay, with a few exceptions. on f4 there were some cars with grills on back that was when it was very distracting when in preview more you had a detailed car and in gameplay you had a car with a jpeg on it's back

I have owned every forza including both horizons and will purchase 6.That being said I think it needs some fresh ideas. I really wish they would take the time to flush out the drag racing in forza with more than just drag tires. Giving players a real physics engine that allowed for wheelies to happen in drag racing is a start. Just imagine trying to manage wheel spin and keep the front end of the car down.(RWD of course) Think about having saved setups for different cars for both circuit and drag. Why are they into the 6th entry into the series and there still is no engine tab in settings, you can adjust anything on the car but whats under the hood. It would be a great way to get that 599 B class to a perfect 600 A class if the turbo boost or timing could be adjusted in stead of racing a 599 or buying lighter weight rims you don't care for.

I think in terms of online they could use better lobby's. Maybe allow people to take a closer look at the paint jobs on the cars your about to face off against, it wouldn't have to be vista quality but give us a way to spin the car around to see the paint while in a lobby. I feel like so much love has been given to painters but outside of using one of there liveries for your own cars you cant really check out anyone else's choices. This is a big one but how about a track editor? You could share custom tracks with the online community.

Those are my thoughts.

I disagree with Digital Spy, until Forza is selling 10 Million games with each entry, its still not even in the same continent as Gran Turismo, let alone at the head of any table.

McDonalds is the most popular restaurant formula in the world, at least by far the most profitable one.

That doesn't mean they make the best food.

@divinejester: In truth forza is a good racing game GT may have fallen off sure but in terms of driving physics forza have fallen real short sometimes cars are sliding of the track for no real reason and that been a thing since the 1st one in any case forza has always been more flair than substance imo

@divinejester: Thats a load of crap. GT didnt have any competition back then so it was the ONLY racing sim to buy.... GT never had the depth Forza has and Im not talking about car total. GT was good back in the day. Forza has had the crown for the last decade..

@skiggy34: The GT vs. Forza debate is very much a matter of "What's your flavour" so neither "has the crown".

i love the game but that line on game's radar has a point.

sometimes there are drivatars that are so much better than the others that they manage to lap the last place in 3 laps. wth is that?

also campaign has always been somethign dull in forza. well, maybe not in the first two, but since the third.

The dull criticism seems valid. Even though I have bought every version (except 5), I have been feeling this. Reminds me I still have a bunch of Horizon 2 still to play!
