Forza Horizon 4 Is Off To A Fast Start
Vroom.
Forza Horizon 4 shifted into high gear for a strong first week. Microsoft announced on its website that the game reached 2 million players in its first week of availability on Xbox One and PC.
The company did not provide any details on how this figure breaks down between copies sold outright and people who played using their Xbox Game Pass subscription. We also don't know if the figure includes people playing the free Forza Horizon 4 demo.
Whatever the case, 2 million is a lot of people. And that's not the only big number Microsoft shared, as the company also disclosed that people have collectively driven more than 822 million miles in the game. Additionally, players have discovered more than 377 million roads and purchased 4.1 million properties and 74.4 million cars. Additionally, people have spent more than 4.6 million hours watching Forza Horizon 4 gameplay across Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Mixer.
Looking ahead, Microsoft will release a new feature, the Route Creator, free for all players on October 25. The Route Creator allows players to do just that: create custom routes. You drive wherever you want, on the road or otherwise, to create a route, and you can drop checkpoints anywhere before sharing it with the wider community.
Forza Horizon 4 is currently available on Xbox One and PC. GameSpot's Forza Horizon 4 review scored the racing game a 9/10.
"The charm of the Horizon series is as palpable as ever, a winning, all-inclusive recipe that celebrates the joy of driving above all else," reviewer Edmond Tran said.
As mentioned, Forza Horizon 4 is available at no extra cost for Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox One.
