Xbox has announced that Forza Horizon 4 has gone gold. The announcement also contained information about the game's demo, as well as the reveal that Horizon 4's Day One Car Pack contains vehicles from both old and recent James Bond films. [Update: We've now gotten a trailer for the Bond car DLC, which you can watch below. It showcases each vehicle and even briefly attempts to recreate an iconic moment from the movie that each one comes from.]

The Forza Horizon 4 demo is currently available on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. You'll have access to all four of the seasons in the demo, allowing you to drive through the open-world Britain hub and complete challenges in a diverse assortment of environments. Of the game's 450-plus cars, you have access to about 10.

If you have Mixer, you can start earning Influence in the Forza Horizon 4 demo that you can use in the main game. Influence is Horizon 4's version of measuring progression, and can be accrued in the main game by exploring, racing, performing stunts, and taking photos. If you watch someone playing the Horizon 4 demo through a Mixer stream, you'll gain Influence. You can also earn Influence by streaming Horizon 4, and you'll get larger rewards for attracting more viewers.

When Horizon 4 launches, a Day One Car Pack will release alongside it. Called the Best of Bond Car Pack, the DLC includes 10 of Bond's famous vehicles from his past films, two Bond-inspired outfits for your driver, and six exclusive quick chat phrases you'll be able to use in multiplayer. The pack can be bought separately, or comes included in Forza Horizon 4's Ultimate Edition.

Here's the full list of what comes in the pack:

  • 1964 Aston Martin DB5 inspired by Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965), GoldenEye (1995), Skyfall (2012), and Spectre (2015)
  • 1969 Aston Martin DBS from On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969)
  • 1974 AMC Hornet X Hatchback from The Man With the Golden Gun (1974)
  • 1977 Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
  • 1981 Citroën 2CV6 from For Your Eyes Only (1981)
  • 1986 Aston Martin V8 from The Living Daylights (1987)
  • 1999 BMW Z8 from The World is Not Enough (1999)
  • 2008 Aston Martin DBS from Quantum of Solace (2008)
  • 2010 Jaguar C-X75 from Spectre (2015)
  • 2015 Aston Martin DB10 from Spectre (2015)

According to Microsoft, several of the cars can use the gadgets seen in the films while in Forzavista mode. "For example, the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 will feature numerous gadgets such as revolving number plate and extendable bumper rams," Xbox wrote. "In addition, the Lotus Esprit S1 will feature a special body kit option inspired by the 'Wet Nellie' submarine vehicle from The Spy Who Loved Me."

Forza Horizon 4 releases on October 2 for Xbox One and PC. If you pre-order the Ultimate Edition, you'll get to play Forza Horizon 4 four days earlier on September 28.

OMG I was so on the fence about this game... too many others I'd rather play but after seeing this Bond DLC it might have sold me, those bastards lol. I'm a HUGE Bond fan.

I know for many that the classic: 1964 Aston Martin DB5 inspired by Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965), GoldenEye (1995), Skyfall (2012), and Spectre (2015)

Is the fav, but for ME.... the all time classic badass Bond car is the: 1977 Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me(1977)

LOVE that car. SOLD!!! DAMMIT!!!! empty wallet... sorry babe, it's gonna be a dry Christmas... look I got you some... socks! :)

@solidsolo: I have to agree that FMS7 or FH3 were not even worth installing, even if you have Hardware stronger than the recommended peices :-(

I feel they are totally unoptimized, do not look as good as the Xbox versions even on highest settings, and I've even had sync issues.

I did like FMS Apex though (ran fine for me). It was the first Forza for PC, but really just felt like a FMS 6 demo AND still wasn't close to the full FMS 6 if you bought the Premium version. Still better than Project Cars, Assetto Corsa, etc imo though

@hollywood1: I LOVED FH3, just NOT the "over the top" Hot Wheels expansion, lols...

too goof for me even for Horizon. I've always liked the other FH & FMS expansions for bringing new locations and vehicles, etc but the HW tracks felt like a a 150% arcade game I would not normally play (like Trials, etc)... lols

@blitxxx1981:oh right, gotcha. Yeah I also wasn't a huge fan of the Hot Wheels expansion. It was fun, but I was over it a few days after release.

@blitxxx1981: Don't know what the heck you talking about I play FH3 in my PC and never had a problem it play perfectly fine. Don't know nothing about FMS7 not a fan of that series and I have never play any game from that series so I take your world with that one.

@angrycreep: Well all PC builds perform different even if we used the same hardware because we all have our own tweaks, optimizations, maintenance tools, etc too (have to on Windows because it doesn't smooth itself out, lols)

But I really do wonder if my GeForce 970 4GB was a factor... Others have had various issues with it because it only reports 3.5 GB of VRAM to games. My GTA V only showed 3.5 GB in the gfx options, but ran & looked great. But the one game I had the most issues with believe it or not was "Deus Ex Human Revolution Director's Cut". My old GF 770 ran full gfx like butter but my 970 turned it into a stutter fest no matter what I did. Couple of other games that shouldn't have had issues did too.

But still at the highest settings, I really do think FMS 7 & FH 3 on the PC were UN-optimized to begin with, and truly think they did look noticeably better even on my 1st gen One

The "Bond CAR Pack" def sounds like a snazzy variety :-D And def a fresh breath other than another "Fast & Furious" pack

I really hope neither of the 2 expansions are goofed like the Hot Wheels expansion from FH3 was. Yea, I know Horizon is supposed to be the more "arcadey" Forza, but I absolutely hated the HW expansion AND car pack. I already think the "Halo Showcase" will be enough goof for FH4

I really liked the past Horizon expansions Thunder Island and Blizzard Mountain though B-)

@blitxxx1981: What did you honestly expect from the "HOT WHEELS" expansion? Really..... Have you never seen Hot Wheels Tracks and cars? Did you not see the trailers of the expansion? Anybody that saw either could deduce that the expansion would be over the top, not the mention that is common knowledge that the FH series is totally "Arcadey". I mean you can take a Ferrari thru fields and fences like its nothing and you want at least some realism? To be clear I truly don't care if you liked them or not, But I do find it absolutely hilarious that people like you are so clueless with what you buy.

@spartanx169x: Clueless because I pre-ordered the Ultimate edition before release, which was waaayyyy before the HW expansion was even announced, so no I did not know what all exactly I was buying. But at least with the Ultimate pre-order I got bonus car packs and early access that was worth it to me

I always liked the "arcady" Horizon expansions because they were not as ridiculous as the HW pack compared to the past Horizon expansions (Rally, Thunder Island, Blizzard Mountain, etc). I tried to like the HW pack, but couldn't.

@Sevenizz @siarhei :: Minority don't hurt me, I even hate "Zombies" in COD, lols, but I do like "creature" games (Vampyr, Dying Light, Dead Island, ZombI, & even the Undead Nightmare expansion for Red Dead) :-P

but like I said "I know Horizon is supposed to be the more "arcade" Forza" but add I feel it should stay within boundry with realistic vehicles & new location as much as possible too. I liked "Thunder Island" for FH2 and "Blizzard Mountain" for FH3

Just felt the Hot Wheels expansion was TOO over the top for my taste because it didn't feel like Forza to me. There's already plenty of "over the top" stunt games but I'm not in to that type...
