Free January Xbox Games with Gold announced: Sleeping dogs and Lara Croft

I've been on Gold for 8 years and only PS+ for 3 months, even I can see that PS+ is much better value for miney

XBL also offers crazy sales each month as well that nobody mentions. A few months ago I bought Sleeping Dogs for $5 on sale from XBL.

I own a 360, XB1 & PS4 (traded ps3 in years ago). I got the XB1 first, so I have all the good next gen multi-plat games on the XB1. I haven't bought a single game for the PS4, except the free PS+ games Resogun (which is awesome) and Contrast. The only game worth buying on PS4 is Killzone and I don't like it enough to spend $65 on it. So I really have shit to play on the PS4. I don't even know if the disc drive works!

If I had bought all the multi-plat games for PS4 instead, I would have Dead Rising 3, Forza 5 and Ryse to play on XB1. Everyone I've spoken with that owns BOTH next gen consoles prefers the XB1, including myself. It's just got lot more going for it.

Glad to see them finally offering an excellent game for the gold subscribers. I'd say most people would have this one by now so it's not gonna do much good, except it flew under the radar for a lot of people it seems, myself included.

Seriously people, can't we just agree that Xbox Live is far superior as an online service than PSN and PS Plus offers far superior value as far as games go, and move on. Just pick the one that's more important to you and quit bitching about what free games we are getting from xbox live, after all a year ago we were getting nothing. I will never complain about anything that is given extra on top of what I already agreed to pay for.

I gotta say that, having both, XBL tends to work better. The PSN store crashes constantly (at least on ps4), the apps work when they feel like it (music unlimited, anyone?), and the matchmaking seemed to be smoother on XBL (although that could be a game issue, I dont really know how is that handled).

On the other side, just Resogun owns whatever games XBL gives for free.

Lol these 2 games alone are worth more than the subscription.

ill still stick with xbl and its dedicated servers for all online games, among the many other features that are xbl exclusive that fanboys conveniently omit when sitting around all day trying to find reasons to cry about something ms did or did not do

wow those games are both ass as well as old as ****. Sleeping dogs was free on PS+ during the summer, that lara croft just can't be justifably sold for more than a few cents. horrible

I have all the current and next gen systems (Playstation ID and XBOX Gamertag both are DroopyGangsta) and I have to say that PS Plus hands down is a superior service compared to XBOX live Gold. PS Plus is a requirement for the PS4 to play online plus you get free games for all 3 systems (PS3,4, and VITA). Gold is a requirement for you to enjoy your XBOX, If you don't have it you can't have fun with it.
