The best deals of Black Friday and Cyber Monday may be past, but November's round of PlayStation Plus freebies is still available to anyone who has a subscription to the online service. This month adds a unique take on the first-person shooter, a detailed RPG set in modern-day Japan, and plenty of game-show and arcade action. They will be available through December 4 on the PlayStation Store, and we've also now learned what the PS Plus December 2018 games will be.

As previously announced, the PlayStation 4 offerings this month include Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and Yakuza Kiwami. Bulletstorm is a remastered version of the over-the-top first-person shooter, with a unique grapple mechanic that lets you yo-yo enemies to control the battlefield. Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the very first Yakuza game from 2006, following Kazuma Kiryu as he tries to find a load of cash stolen from his gang.

A really solid freebie month! I already own Yakuza Kiwami, but I had an absolute blast with it, plus its a great jumping on point for newcomers to the Yakuza series.

As for Bulletstorm, I've always been interested in trying it, so this gives me the perfect excuse! Looks like a lot of over the top, cartoonishly brutal fun!

Excited to finally try Yakuza, and if you haven't played Bulletstorm, check it out, because it's a helluva great time (and free!)!

@everson_rm: Ha, thanks! One of my favorite games of all time, good on you for noticing! As for Bulletstorm, it's dumb fun, but fun. Good pacing and a story doesn't overstay it's welcome, balancing comedic with some surprising serious moments. Great action and the kill/point system makes for fun personal challenges and a refreshing take on traditional FPS qualities. It made me smile a lot, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for over $20-30, which make it the perfect kind of "free" game to kill some time with!

Been meaning to get into the Yakuza series. As a gamer who has a fond appreciation for the old Shenmue games I’ve been told multiple times that the Yakuza series is in many ways a sort of spiritual successor to the story and playstyle of that legendary franchise.

I’m not sure how true that last statement is but I guess now is as good a time as ever to check it out for myself.

@videogameninja: This is a fair statement. The Yakuza games could easily be likened to a modern version of Shemue, but with a much bigger focus on action.

@videogameninja: Same here. But i doubt that Yakusa can blow our minds like shenmue did back in 2000 (was it?).
EDIT: Just looked, and it was released 29/12/1999. So, it was 2000!
