Game Boy Turned MP3 Player
Nintendo's little pocket wonder is getting a musical upgrade with new MP3 player attachment.
GameSpot News has been informed of a new adapter for the Game Boy Color that turns the handheld system into a portable MP3 player. The unit, called the SongBoy, attaches to the top of the Game Boy and equips the system with 16MB of memory (expandable to 32MB) so that it can play the MP3 music files. In addition to playing standard MP3s, the SongBoy will also play MPE files, which feature Game Boy visuals (like lyrics and cover art).
Weighing in at US$79.99, the SongBoy might be worth keeping an eye out for once it releases this spring. For more information on the SongBoy, as well as an opportunity to check out the PC version, click on the link to the right.
