Game Release Dates In December 2017 For PS4, Switch, Xbox One, And PC
Below is a list of the biggest PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch, and 3DS games launching in December.
We're finally at the end of 2017, but we've still got a couple big games left to round out the year. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Destiny 2 expansion Curse of Osiris make up the bulk of the month's major releases. A wealth of DLC is on the way, like the second and final DLC pack for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the last two story DLC packs for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Aside from the bigger games and DLC, there's also a number of VR ports and re-releases of games coming to new platforms and hardware, such as Doom VFR, Fallout 4 VR, Dead Rising 4, and Okami HD.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a sequel to the critically acclaimed Wii-exclusive open-world-RPG, Xenoblade Chronicles. You play as protagonist Rex who alongside his friend, Pyra, are searching the world for Elysium, the ultimate paradise for humanity. Like the first game, it's set in a world where the last remnants of civilization live on the backs of colossal beasts known as the Titans.

Curse of Osiris is the first expansion for Destiny 2. It introduces new areas to explore, Strikes, missions, a new social space called the Lighthouse, Raid Lairs, free roam activities, a world quest, and more.

An unexpected re-release this month is the HD remaster of Capcom's PS2 classic Okami. Originally remastered in 2012, the latest release supports 4K resolutions and includes an optional widescreen presentation alongside the 4:3 aspect ratio of the original.

The Xbox One port of the incredibly popular PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds arrives this month via Microsoft's Game Preview program. While no major changes have been made to the battle royale shooter, developer Bluehole has noted that the Xbox One version will slightly differ from the PC version over time. Xbox One players will also be able to purchase some exclusive content in the form of special cosmetic packs.
