Games With Gold Free October Games for Xbox One and 360 Include Battlefield, Darksiders

This will mark the 7th free GwG game released on Xbone once October hits. M$ needs to pick up the pace, not even Sony has reused older games for their PS+ service. This is Crimson Dragon's 3rd time around the Xbone block.

Contrast that to PS+ which will be releasing their 18th free PS+ game next month.

Wow. So, let me get this straight. Microsoft, one of the wealthiest companies in the US, just purchased Minecraft/Mojang for $2 billion, is recycling Crimson Dragon for the third month in a row while Sony, currently hemorrhaging money right now, will offer two new(ish), different PS4 indie titles plus a PS Plus edition of Driveclub in October? You spoil us Xbox One owners, Microsoft with all of your wealth.

Despite the Xbox One lineup being pretty crappy, the 360 lineup is really good. Darksiders II and Bad Company 2. Not bad in my opinion.

Might just have to renew my live subscription...Wish my copy of Bfbc2 didn't get damaged.

But to be honest I'm kind so over last generation consoles. Which is why I haven't renewed my subscription in months.

I'm struggling between weather I should build a gaming PC or buy a newer console. Only reason I haven't upgraded is 1st off the Xone is unimpressive as a gaming machine and 2nd a console killing PC cost a couple hundred more than a console. plus PC's can be a pain in the butt. Console will always play your games PC's can have so many issues it ca be frustrating. (bad drivers, compatibility issues, tons of different errors, etc)

I wish they announced the deals of the week prior too, games popping out and I want to buy them but I rather wait for a deal so I don't feel like I rushed to buy then next week it's half it's original price tag…

worth it just for darksiders. always wanted that game but never got round to buying it. SWEET!

Another month of Crimson Dragon. Dang. I feel like they're really rubbing in that I paid full-price for that crapfest, lol.

Another disappointing month for us Xbox One owners.

Definitely looking forward to playing Darksiders 2. Never got around to it and loved the first one. I was hoping that game would eventually make it to the free game of the month list.

As for Bad Company 2... haven't played that either. From what I hear, the BC games are the best Battlefield games.

This is actually the FIRST time that I don't already own either of the free games on the 360, AND that both games are actually good titles. Just because they're old doesn't mean they're not FUN anymore!

Darksiders II seems like a good way to spend some time.

Didn't play these games when they first came out so will be pretty sweet getting them for free now. I know they are a bit old but they're still free games. Hard to complain about getting something for free (unless it's a U2 album)

This is obviously a fail move for Microsoft. Sony wins another flawless victory.

Bad Company 2? Jesus, are the servers even still up for that? There are dinosaurs younger than that game... GG Microsoft, nice old carrot you got there to reel in the Live payers..

I'm stoked that BF:BC2 is the game of the month. I'm ABSOLUTELY going to reinstall it and enjoy a brief resurgence in the online population. IMO still the best MP of the entire BF series.
.. Hours of crash-free, teleport-free, and occasionally skilled team-vs-team combat on stellar vehicle maps.

I'm excited for both games, never played Darksiders or Battlefield before so this is my chance to try it out.

Damn. Shouldn't have bought Darksiders 2 when it was on sale the other month, but is it possible the game available will actually be the original Darksiders? That makes more sense.

Always wanted to play Bad Company 2. I hear it was a great overall game. Multiplayer is gone but the campaign is supposedly still good.

Darksiders II... At last a game I either do not have or cannot play due to feeling sick as result of playing.

I have enough 2D platformers on my new gen console. And I didn't pick up Crimson Dragon the last two months and don't see that changing. Of course, Sony's PS4 offerings have been equally dismal this year.

I've been wanting to play Darksiders 2 for a while. Good score this coming month.

I'm just stoked that I took a risk and bought pretty much every game one Deals With Gold, and didn't get shafted this month.

Bit disappointed in crimson dragon again though, but hey ho, free games are free games. :)
