GameStop acquires wireless company Spring Mobile
Retailers buys AT&T retailer Spring Mobile for undisclosed sum; more details coming in 2014.

GameStop has purchased AT&T wireless retailer Spring Mobile, CEO Paul Raines announced today during an earnings call. The acquisition will help GameStop move into the wireless market, Raines said.

Spring Mobile is an AT&T wireless retailer based in Salt Lake City that operates 150+ stores across the United States and employs around 650 people. The company acquired A-Link Wireless in September, which will also join GameStop as part of the acquisition.
An acquisition price was not specified. GameStop today reported better-than-expected earnings for its latest quarter, hauling $2.11 billion in revenue and a profit of $68.6 million.
