GameTap subscription rate set
New price begins after two-week free trial of Turner Broadcasting's upcoming game download service.
The price has been set for Ted Turner's forthcoming GameTap, a subscription-based service that lets users download arcade, console, and PC games. Subscribers will put down $14.95 a month to access the GameTap library of games so they can download them to their broadband-enabled PCs.
In addition, GameTap will also be offering a "virtual open house." New subscribers can get two weeks of free downloads before the newly set rate kicks in.
GameTap is expected to launch on October 3. To get more on the service, take a look at GameSpot's previous coverage.
