Steam's winter sale is live, discounting thousands of games. As with November's sale, this one works differently than those in the past--there are no daily or flash deals, so if something is on sale, you don't need to wait to see if it goes any lower. Some of the best deals include Shovel Knight for $10, The Witcher 3 for $30, Grand Theft Auto V for $36, Rocket League for $14, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for $40, Elite: Dangerous for $15, Cities: Skylines for $12, and Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition for $27.

The big Xbox holiday sale has begun, consisting of both weekly and daily deals for everyone, with Xbox Live Gold members getting bigger discounts. Among the current deals for Gold members are Rise of the Tomb Raider for $40, Ori and the Blind Forest for $10, Madden NFL 16 for $24, and The Witcher 3 for $25.

The third week of PSN's holiday sale is live, offering discounts for all PSN members (and even better prices for Plus subscribers). Highlights include Super Meat Boy (cross-buy) for $7.49, Super Mega Baseball (cross-buy) for $4, Broken Age (cross-buy) for $5, Until Dawn for $39.59, and Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell for $7.49.

Amazon has launched its digital game sale. It primarily consists of PC games--such as Cities: Skylines for $12, Pillars of Eternity for $18, Titanfall Deluxe for $5, Civilization V: Complete Edition for $12.50--but there are also console game deals like Gears of War: Ultimate Edition for $30 and Rare Replay for $20.

The Humble Store's DRM-free holiday sale has begun, offering new deals on PC games every day through Thursday. Current deals include Her Story for $3.59, Xenonauts for $10, Fez for $2, TowerFall Ascension for $7.49, The Swapper for $3.74, and Door Kickers for $4.

Green Man Gaming's winter sale is underway, offering Grand Theft Auto V for $36, Wasteland 2 for $20, Max Payne 3 for $4, Wolfenstein: The New Order for $9, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood for $10, and Dishonored: Game of the Year Edition for $10. Many of these offers should stack with the site's current 20 percent coupon, which you can use with promo code XMAS20-PERGMG-SVINGS.

Target Cartwheel has a 40 percent off deal on Lego Dimensions, bringing its price down to $60.

The Microsoft Store is throwing in a $50 gift card and a free select game (The Crew, Watch Dogs, or Assassin's Creed Unity) in with the purchase of an Xbox One, which is already $50 off. You can also choose to add a Kinect in for $50, a sizable discount over its usual $100 price.

Purchase an Xbox One at Best Buy and you can get 40 percent off on three months of Xbox Live Gold (bringing it to $15) and/or $30 off a controller.

GOG has a big sale on its entire Bethesda catalog, discounting games from the Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Quake, Wolfenstein, and Doom series. You also get a pair of games--The Elder Scrolls: Arena and Daggerfall--for free with the purchase of any Bethesda game.

The new Humble Bundle is the third Square Enix bundle, offering games like The Last Remnant and Murdered: Soul Suspect for as little as $1. Beating the average adds in the first two Just Cause games, Final Fantasy XIV, and more, while paying at least $9 gets you everything, plus Tomb Raider: Game of the Year Edition, Hitman Absolution: Elite Edition, and Lara Croft & The Temple of Osiris.
