Gears of War 4 Elite Controller Costs $200

During its E3 2016 press conference, Microsoft announced that it will release a Gears of War 4 edition of the customizable Xbox One Elite controller. The original Elite controller already costs a lot; it'll run you $150 because of its many custom options. Today, Microsoft revealed that the Gears 4 edition will cost you even more: You'll have to shell out $200 to get it.

Although special-edition controllers often run a few dollars more, this is a pretty unusual premium on the base controller's price. But it does look really good: it'll have several Gears-themed d-pads, thumbsticks, and paddles. As with the base Elite controller, you'll be able to change trigger sensitivity and button mapping from the Xbox accessories app.

The Gears 4 controller will also come with a few bonus in-game items. If you buy it, you'll get a multiplayer lobby emblem and three Gear Packs.

The game will be released during the holiday season of this year for Xbox One and Windows 10, and it'll have cross-play and cross-buy support for PC and Xbox.
