According to the official news on the Epic Games forums, the new DLC will introduce a new online multiplayer game type called Breakthrough. Here, players will need to form two teams; one team must deliver a flag onto set locations, while the opposing team must stop them and are granted unlimited resources to do so.
The new pack will also feature four new maps for this version of the game: Gears of War 3's map Checkout, Lost City, Museum, and Ward. Players can also expect new armor and weapon skins, though Epic Games has yet to list them out in full detail.
Gears of War: Judgment was out on March 19 and was set as a prequel to the previous Gears of War titles. The game was praised for its difficulty modifiers in the single-player campaign and multiplayer modes, but was criticized for its narrative flow and aftermath campaign.
