Geist Force on Hold

Sega of America has officially put its internally developed Dreamcast shooter on hold. A spokesperson for Sega told GameSpot News on Thursday that Sega's Bernie Stolar wasn't satisfied with the progress being made on the game, and that the development team is currently being restructured. The move has resulted in a handful of layoffs and resignations.

Sega maintains that Geist Force will still launch with the Dreamcast in the US this fall, and still expects to display the game at next month's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
