Get A Look At The Last Of Us 2 Branded PS4 Pro, Controller, And Headset
Get a special engraved PS4 Pro with the game for the standard price of a new console.
The Last of Us 2 is just a month away, and Sony has now debuted a limited edition PS4 Pro bundle that will launch alongside the game. The bundle includes a PS4 Pro and controller with a unique TLOU 2 design, the game, and a digital voucher for a dynamic theme, avatars, and other goodies.
The console has a matte finish PS4 Pro engraved with the design of Ellie's tattoo, and a similar design element on the controller with the TLOU 2 logo on the touchpad. The bundle is available to pre-order for $400, while the controller is also available as a standalone purchase for $65.
"When the opportunity arose to create a custom PS4 Pro for The Last of Us Part 2, I worked with our graphic designer at the time, Angel Garcia, and we considered a few different ideas, but we kept coming back to Ellie's tattoo," said John Sweeney in the announcement. "By that point, it had become a symbol of the game and for the community--much like the Firefly logo in the first game. It was the clear choice, but we wondered: what if it could be engraved? It hadn't been done before, so we weren't sure it was even possible, but thanks to the incredible efforts of the teams at PlayStation, we found a way."

The announcement also detailed some other branded accessories. Sony is producing a limited edition wireless headset with the fern tattoo as well, for $100. And the company has licensed Seagate to produce a 2TB Game Drive with a similar design element, which will cost $90.
The Last of Us 2 is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and it's been a long time coming after various delays, as well as setbacks related to the coronavirus. Unfortunately, it's also been the subject of a large plot leak, spoiling the game for some fans. The latest story trailer is still just as intense as ever, though.
