Get Apple AirPods For A Rare Discount At Amazon
This new deal on the latest Apple AirPods is hard to turn down.
You don't find Apple products on sale too often, so whenever there is a deal, all of us tech nerds turn and look like deers that just heard someone step on a leaf in the woods. The latest Apple deal comes from Amazon and drops the latest generation of Apple AirPods to $139 (down from $159). It's worth noting that these aren't AirPods Pro, though they are still great true wireless earbuds.
The great thing about Apple AirPods is how easy they are to use. Once connected to your iPhone or iPad, all you need to do is pull them out of their charging case and put them in your ear--they turn on automatically as you do this. It also features touch controls, allowing you to double-tap the AirPods to play, pause, or skip to the next song.

However, if you already own a pair of Apple AirPods and are wondering if you should upgrade to the latest generation, you should check out our sister site CNET's Apple AirPods 2019 review. Critic David Carnoy was impressed by the "small but key improvements," such as the new H1 chip that allows for faster and stronger connections, but lamented the fact that the design received no changes. This means they're no more secure in your ears than previous generations of AirPods.
"The new AirPods are here, but they are an incremental upgrade, the equivalent of an S series iPhone," Carnoy wrote. "The changes enhance an already excellent, truly wireless headphone, and if you were on the fence about buying the AirPods, there's enough here in the way of improvements, particularly always-on Siri and better noise filtering during calls, to get you off that fence."
