The much-anticipated Ghostbusters: Afterlife has had its first screening, and Twitter reactions are coming in. The latest movie in the long-running supernatural comedy franchise screened at CinemaCon, the annual convention for the National Association of Theatre Owners in Las Vegas.

The movie was screened as part of Sony Pictures' presentation, which also included a look at the first Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer and new footage from Morbius. Ghostbusters: Afterlife doesn't hit theaters until November, so it'll be some time before we get any full reviews, but some of the lucky CinemaCon attendees have revealed their thoughts on social media. The movie was introduced by director Jason Reitman and his dad Ivan, who directed the original 1984 movie.

Advance word is very positive so far. While the first Ghostbusters is one of the '80s most beloved films, the next two films--1989's Ghostbusters II and 2016's female-led reboot--were not as well received. But it sounds like Reitman has delivered the nostalgia that long-time fans will be looking for, while still making a movie that appeals to younger viewers.

Founder of Hollywood Critics Association Scott Menzel described the movie as "a perfect blend of classic Ghostbusters moments with a fresh and unique twist for a whole new generation to enjoy," while Bleeding Cool writer Kaitlyn Booth said it had "a ton of heart with a great cast."

Insider critic Jason Guerrasio stated that the movie has "a very childlike Spielberg vibe to it," and that Reitman had been "extremely loyal" to the original film, with CinemaBlend's Sean O'Connell revealing that "Paul Rudd gets the best lines." However, Gizmodo writer Germain Lussier did admit that the movie has "big leaps in logic and plot that hold it back from really firing on every cylinder."

Ghostbusters: Afterlife also stars Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), McKenna Grace (Captain Marvel), Carrie Coon (The Leftovers, Avengers: Infinity War), and Bokeem Woodbine (Spider-Man: Homecoming). A number of big names from the original movies are set to make an appearance too, including Bill Murray as Peter Venkman, Dan Aykroyd as Ray Stanz, Ernie Hudson as Winston Zedemore, and Sigourney Weaver as Dana Barrett.
