Ghostbusters Fight to Save New York in Latest Reboot Trailer

Answer the Call

The Ghostbusters are back. Bridesmaids director Paul Feig's reboot of the paranormal comedy classic hits cinemas in July, and a new trailer has been released. Check it out right here:

Ghostbusters stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. A number of actors from the original 1984 movie will also feature in cameos, including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver.

In a recent interview at CinemaCon 2016, McCarthy sought to assure fans of the original that the new movie would do the franchise justice. "I think everybody is going to love this story," she said, via JustJared. "We loved all the original stories and it's coming from a place of love. It's being updated with a great eye from Paul."

In March, it was reported that Sony are also developing an animated Ghostbusters movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, rising animator Fletcher Moules has signed on to direct the project. Moules is best known for the recent high-profile commercials for the Clash of the Clans game, as well as interstitial work for AMC. THR also notes that this is one of several Ghostbusters-related projects in the works at the studio.

Ghostbusters is released on July 17, 2016.

I just watch the trailer, and this new Ghostbuster movie is going to fail. Why in the world is there all women Ghostbusters? Plus they seem to be trying to do way to much comedy in it. Plus the uniforms suck. I would really like to have another Ghostbusters movie that relates to the two original Ghostbuster movies not this new movie coming out.

It looks like a halfway decent comedy, but trying to wear the mantle of Ghostbusters while being just a halfway decent comedy is, as the Spanish Bumblebee guy from The Simpsons would say, "no bueno." Ay ay ay.

Sony Pictures, get your s*** in order.

I watched Zoolander 2 recently and the same bad and forced stuff could be seen on that movie as well, yankes don't have a good taste regarding lighthearted comedy it seems (Adam Sandler don't let me lie). Such a atrocity... I'm not even a fan of the original, still this movie looks so bad to me.

Damn this trailer gave away WAY too much... really poorly done. We know who the main badguy is now and ruined some of the cameos

....Seriously?

A new trailer for this drops and I'm stuck here at work with NO AUDIO!?!?!?!?

The rest of this day is going to be one LONG wait to see this.

For the record, thus far I have been very excited about this movie. Feig has proven he's a great comedy director. McCarthy is hilarious, Wig is hilarious (and so sexy), McKinnon is hilairous, and Jones has comedy potential... just never been a big fan of hers up to this point.

MOST importantly, the movie is about "paranormal investigations and eliminations"... I can't speak for you guys, but for me That is 100% all I cared about from when I was a kid running around with a blue proton pack saying "Who ya gonna call!?" to this day in my jumpsuit on halloween.

The comedy is great, but it's 100% all about ghosts and ghost-busting for me.

Getting worst and worst. Notice what they show are the same scenes over and over, just different angles of it.

This trailer isn't as bad as the last one but this is clearly still a rental for me personally and the CGI Ghost looks horrible and it makes the 80's Ghostbusters ghost look better then this and the 80's version has aged well for that matter. You would have though they take some of the ideas from The Force Awaken's special effects at least.

I'm sorry but it's hard to keep an open mind when the movie looks this bad. Forced jokes and attempted humour. They don't seem natural at all. This is just so wrong.

Much better trailer. I'm seeing the original in theaters on June 12th and there's a sneak peak before the movie.

I'm sure when you purchase a ticket for this movie it comes along with a complimentary barf-bag.
