Ghostwire: Tokyo Gets New PS5 Trailer At Reveal Event
The next game from Shinji Mikami got its big debut at Sony's next-gen reveal showcase.
Ghostwire: Tokyo, the new game from Shinji Mikami, got a big showing at Sony's PS5 reveal event. The lengthy trailer showed some story sequences as well as a good bit of first-person gameplay, fighting off spirits with a combination of melee and magic. It's a PS5 console exclusive, but will also be coming to PC, according to a recent PlayStation blog post.
The gameplay portion showed otherworldy demonic creatures occupying Tokyo disguised as salarymen. The hero can apparently see these threats, and a narrator explains that you're willing to fight when others aren't.
Ghostwire: Tokyo had previously gained attention thanks to the charisma of creative director Ikumi Nakamura, who won fans at E3 2019. She has since left Tango Gameworks.
The PlayStation 5 reveal event is ongoing, and has shown a new Ratchet & Clank, Spider-Man, and Sackboy game, among many others. Check out a full list of all the PS5 games announced during Sony's reveal event.
