God Of War Ragnarok Getting Free Roguelike DLC Next Week Called Valhalla
God of War: Ragnarok's Valhalla DLC is coming next week and is free.
God of War: Ragnarok is getting a free DLC, titled Valhalla, that is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Revealed during The Game Awards, the DLC will be a roguelike mode that uses Ragnarok's combat to provide new challenges, and it's releasing on December 12.
The DLC isn't just a new way to enjoy the combat either, as the Valhalla DLC will also take Kratos through a reflective journey in Valhalla, where Kratos moves towards his future. The roguelike mode will also feature new twists on the combat as well, as you battle and die repeatedly through Valhalla.
Detailed in the PlayStation Blog, the Valhalls DLC will serve as an epilogue to God of War Ragnarok, taking place directly after the final events of that game. Kratos and Mimir will travel to Valhalla and the blog teases that he will "face echoes of his past," implying that there might be enemies from more than just the two recent God of War games.
God of War Ragnarok's free Valhalla DLC arrives on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on December 12. For more on The Game Awards, check out GameSpot's list of every announcement and every award winner.
