Grab Four Mario Kart Lego Sets For The Best Prices Yet At Amazon

This 174-piece set includes Mario's iconic red starting vehicle from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The kart comes with a detachable Super Glider, drift-ready wheels, a Red Shell launcher, and an attachable Banana item. Like all of the vehicles in the Mario Kart line, the Standard Kart is compatible with the trio of Interactive Figures from the Adventures with Super Mario starter sets. Naturally, the Mario figure is the obvious choice here. The figures unlock new sound and visual effects when the race starts, while drifting or gliding, and when honking your horn.

Mario's Standard Kart set also comes with a workstation with a target for the Red Shell. Hopping on the workstation with Mario, Luigi, or Peach triggers more sound and display effects.

If you don't have one of the Lego Mario starter sets, the included Pit Crew Toad figure can drive the kart instead. Toad is just a regular Lego figure, so the aforementioned interactive elements don't work when he's connected to the kart.

The ridiculously cute Baby Mario vs. Baby Luigi set rewinds the clock to a time before the brothers knew how to use a toilet, let alone fix one. Arguably the cutest Lego Super Mario set ever made--the Mario Kart Grand Prix kit includes Baby Princess Peach and an adorable little Toad, so it's close--this 321-piece kit features buildable Baby Mario and Luigi figures as well as the Biddybuggy and Tri-Speeder karts. The former is a red buggy modeled after the Para-Biddybud enemy that first appeared in Super Mario 3D Land. Meanwhile, Baby Luigi. drives one of the few three-wheeled karts in the series.

As for the accessories, it comes with Red and Green Shells and six balloons to use as targets. Alternatively, the baby bros can wield the balloons like hammers and bop each other on the head.

It looks like the B Dasher's wheels are the same as the ones found on Mario's Standard Kart and Baby Mario's Biddybuggy, so it seems likely you could use the Customization Machine on those vehicles.

Along with the standard interactive elements when driving the B Dasher, the Super Mario starter figures have sound and visual effects for the engine and horn when working with the Customization Machine.

The cheapest of the bunch, the Yoshi Bike is a 133-piece set that only costs $15. It includes a green bike modeled after Yoshi, a Light-Blue Yoshi figure, four traffic cones, an Item Block, and the Banana (peel) and Green Shell items from the Mario Kart games.

Mario, Luigi, and Peach figures react as the race starts, while drifting, when honking the bike's horn, and when the bike is in hover mode. In addition to the physical items, colliding with the Item Box plays out just like in the games. Sound and visual effects will let you know which item you earned.

One of the three Interactive Super Mario figures from the starter sets is required to create audio and visual effects, but Yoshi sure does look cool on the bike. This is the first time Light-Blue Yoshi has been featured in a Lego Mario set. You can connect Yoshi figures from other sets to the bike, too. The Grand Prix set has some fairly integral components of the Mario Kart experience, including a starting gate, track barriers, a podium, and a Lakitu holding a traffic light. If you're buying Mario Kart Lego sets for play rather than display, this feels like the must-have kit. At 823 pieces, it has more than twice the number of bricks as any of the other sets. As such, it's also double the price of the second most expensive option (Toad's Garage).

Technically, this is called Baby Peach & Grand Prix Set, which makes sense since Peach is the obvious standout of the three included racers. Baby Peach may still use a pacifier, but she has her license and drives an adorable Wild Wiggler kart. Peach is joined by Toad on a Standard Bike and Lemmy on the Landship kart.

The trio of Super Mario Interactive Figures work the same way as they do with the other sets. The Grand Prix was designed as the centerpiece for the launch lineup, and you combine the track with the other Mario Kart sets to create more elaborate and interactive playsets.

Donkey Kong's DK Jumbo kart is the largest vehicle in the lineup. Beyond the buildable Donkey Kong figure and barrel-inspired kart, it comes with Red and Green Shells and a target with a Banana item on top. The objective here is to fling the shells at the target to knock over the smiling fruit.

In addition to the standard sound and visual effects from the other karts, using Mario, Luigi, or Peach figures with the DK Jumbo kart triggers Donkey Kong-themed effects from the platformer series. Donkey Kong characters have only been featured in a few Lego Mario playsets so far--and all of them were retired this year. For now, you can still get them for retail price or less, in case you want Diddy, Dixie, Cranky, or Funky Kong to drive the DK Jumbo instead.
