Why do I feel that Forza Horizon makes more sense than Gran Turismo?

Oh go to hell! A GT movie? Come on...This actually sets the bar lower then the Asteroids movie they talked about! This is such a gross cash grab.

I love GT but what would a film of it actually involve? GT is essentially an RPG racing game...maybe a rags to riches bog standard affair?

If this was The Stanley Parable film I could see that translate, but a Gran Turismo movie sounds about as generic and nondescript as you can get.

I don't understand what it would be about - is it going to be some Fast and Furious tripe? Whatever it is, it's going to only be "Gran Turismo" in name, since they have essentially a blank slate for plot, characters, etc

Um why...? Let's start with making a decent game in the 21st century first.

Well, I guess it's kind of a blank slate for a racing movie. Could be good? Could be bad? I think the license has very little to do with it's success though.

This idea makes absolutely zero sense. There's nothing to clarify Gran Turismo is Gran Turismo other than the name itself. There are no characters or story or anything to go on. It's a game about driving. You don't see people racing their cars around on the Nurburgring over the weekend saying 'This experience should be made into a film'. I just don't see it.

Gran Turismo has no story, no characters, no world, no personality, no nothing. It has real world tracks and real world cars. I don't understand how it's getting a movie. There's nothing there to license what so ever other than the name.

There is no plots in these games to follow. Outside of the name and cars, the movie will have nothing to do with the game. You could interchange the name with the need for speed movie and it wouldn't make a difference. With the thousands of great games with actual plots and stories, why do these games keep getting selected?

I don't like racing games so, have never played Grand Turismo but was there ever a story mode to this game? Not sure how you can make a movie about a game that never had a story. You can't call a movie by the name of a game just because it has cars in it. What else is there that can tie into the franchise?

I love Kosinski and his style, but Gran Turismo? Really? Racing games are Zzzzzz......boring! What will the plot be anyway?
