GTA 5 Actor Is Out Of The Hospital After Battling COVID-19 And Pneumonia
Ned Luke has been discharged from the hospital as he thanks his fans for helping him pull through.
Actor Ned Luke, who plays Michael in Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V, has left the hospital after he contracted COVID-19 and came down with pneumonia.
Posting on Twitter, Luke shared a video of himself walking out of the Georgia hospital where he was staying as he was being treated for the virus. If the video looks familiar, that's because Luke is basically reenacting the respawn scene from GTA 5 when Michael leaves the hospital.
We’re #CrushingCoVid Thanks so much for all the support and love. Y’all really helped pull me thru. We got this. #LoveMyFans pic.twitter.com/onU6T7rAsb

"Thanks so much for all the support and love," Luke said. "Ya'll really helped pulled me thru."
Luke was admitted to Emory John's Creek hospital in Georgia on January 15 for a case of pneumonia related to COVID-19. At the time, Luke warned his followers about the virus and how devastating it can be. "This sh** is real and it ain't fun," he wrote.
In another tweet, Luke thanked the front-line workers at his hospital for saving his life. "See anyone who's a front-line worker ... thank them, they're heroes," Luke said.

With more than 135 million copies sold, GTA 5 is one of the most successful video games in history, and it continues to perform well many years after its initial release. In addition to the direct sales of the game, GTA 5's multiplayer mode, GTA Online, rakes in money from its various microtransactions.
2021 is shaping up to be a big year for GTA 5 and GTA Online, as Rockstar is planning to release GTA 5 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with various enhancements, while GTA Online is getting a standalone release on the next-gen platforms as well.
