GTA 5 Mod Brings Motorhead's Lemmy to Los Santos

A new Grand Theft Auto V mod pays tribute to Lemmy, the rockstar and founding member of English heavy metal band Mötorhead who died recently from an aggressive form of cancer.

Using the mod, you can play as Lemmy himself--and the character model looks pretty good. You can also do things that Lemmy enjoyed, including smoking, drinking, and playing guitar. There is even the option to spawn prostitutes who follow Lemmy around, if you're into that sort of thing.

The mod, "Lemmy Tribute Möd," was created by Christian Brandes, FunGt and jedijosh920 (via Kotaku). The video above, meanwhile, comes from YouTube user Schlecky Silberstein.

• Shift+L: become Lemmy Kilmister
• Shift+B: spawn Hexer motorbike
• Shift+H: spawn hooker/s
• Shift+J: Motorhead t-shirt (after Shift+L)
• Shift+O: smoke
• Shift+K: drink
• Shift+I: play guitar or drums
• Shift+Q: stop current animation (after smoke, drink or guitar)

Lemmy, whose real name is Ian Kilmister, died on December 28, two days after he learned of his "extremely aggressive" form of cancer. He was 70.

According to Motörhead's statement, Kilmister was playing a video game when he died.

"He had learnt of the disease on December 26th, and was at home, sitting in front of his favorite video game from The Rainbow which had recently made its way down the street, with his family," it said.

A character based on Kilmister, named Kill Master, is featured in Double Fine's action game Brutal Legend. After learning of his passing, Double Fine paid tribute to Kilmister with an epic piece of art dedicated to him.
