Gun Loco canceled

Gun Loco had a touch of the ultra-violence about it, I thought.

Who really knows if the game is actually good or not - don't forget, this is Square, and they have proven time and time again that they have no clue what a "good game" is. And to make things worse, they are trying to mimic EA, becoming an umbrella corporation (they already are quite massive in that respect in Japan - now they are trying to do it with Western companies) so watch as they destroy whatever studio signs up with the devi... errr I mean with them...

Agreed. Sometimes there are signes for a company NOT to enter a certain genre...this is one of them. Hope Disney still supports KH3 project.

Why would Square Enix waste there time trying to make a crapy looking game instead of making Kh3 or FF vs 13 im tired of the Kh series being a bunch of side storys that are basicly remakes of the first kh Square Enix has to focus on what there good at thats their RPGs not some crapy game that has ps2 graphics Square Enix tried making shooters over the past year and im not saying there bad its just not their thing

Reminds me of brink, maybe that's why they pulled the plug, didn't want to make a direct competition to the masterminds behind TF2, by the way Brink looks awesome

Maybe they saw the direction the 360 was headed as a child-friendly family focused gaming console? Who knows.. We'll never know..

Good, now Kingdom Hearts 3 and FF Versus XIII can resume development, among other games of course. This one looks like crap.

Thank God Square Enix pulled the plug on this one. I just knew it was going to fail. Also I think it is a good thing they decide to cancel this one after what happen to Japan. Great move Square

wah wah wah im so sick of seeing people cry and whine about square not being who they used to be an final fantasy not being what it used to be, well i got news for you all, people change, times change, an EVERYTHING changes, get over it, square is still a good company and final fantasys are still great games, go cry over somthing else now, okay! thnx

Square probably lost so much money from the disaster in Japan they had to trim the fat off anything that was going to be a gamble. Smart move I think. They have other bigger projects to focus on that have already been delayed too many times to count.

Why's everyone saying the trailer was bad? It looked better them the turd out there today and looked like alot of fun

I would recommend to Square to cancel Enix partnership and be back Square Soft.

@pandabear I would also like to see a FF7 remake but if it is made by those idiots currently working at square enix I'm afraid it will probably be a big let down.If you ask me I think they should do a remake of FF13 lol,and this time do it PROPERLY.I want a proper levelling/sidequests and great storyline japanese rpg if that makes sense.

It's shame Square Enix canceled it. I'm was looking forward to buying it, since I don't want to treat my 360 like a red-headed step child.

@Pipboy360 Come on man... Obviously they don't make the games, but they now control Eidos, and therefore decide when games are made, what they are like, and what kind of games they release. Activision doesn't make Call of Duty games, it just controls every aspect of their budget, production, marketing, and release. They don't make the games, but they decide which ones get made.

Good news. Theres way too many shooters nowadays, its not like anybody wanted this one added to the list. I want Square Enix to remake FF7, not bother with this!

Based on the description, I would say that Square/Enix overstepped their creative boundaries. A game with so many variables would take several years. Apparently longer than the company could afford to hold out on a game release.

Yeah, this trailer is awful, but the gameplay prototype video i've seen looked like an different take on shooters, it could've been good, who knows? Either way, after Enix arrogance with Chronno Trigger and FFVII remake i think the current situation of Square is well deserved of it's bad administration, you can't sell your products if you spit on yours customers face...

Why squareenix, this game actually looks pretty good lol. Would of been nice to see squareenix make more games outside the RPG realm.

They didn't give a reason? The vid posted under this story is 150 seconds worth of reasons not to release this. In a market already crowded with shooters, you can't just be loco and expect to attract attention.
