Hades 2 Enters Early Access Q2 2024
More details will come closer to the early access launch.
Supergiant Games announced that Hades II will enter early access in Q2 2024. Details about date, pricing, and system requirement will be revealed closer to that time.
Supergiant claims that Hades II will release day one with at least as much content as the first game had when it launched in early access on Steam. This is notable because Hades initially launched in early access on the Epic Game Store in 2018 and came to Steam a year later. The full version then released in September 2020. Basically, Hades II's early access period will start with more content than the original Hades started with when it launched in early access on Steam.
Supergiant said in a blog post that, "We believe the timeframe we're planning for will be the "sweet spot" where the game is far enough along that player feedback won't mostly consist of stuff we already know isn't there yet, but isn't so far along that it's too late in development for us to act on the feedback we receive."
Prior to the early access release, Hades 2 will have a technical test. This will include less content than early access and will be limited to a small number of players. More details will come when the build is closer to completion.
Hades II's early access plan will operate similarly to the first game. After early access launches, there will be a series of major updates that will add new content and refine the game based on player feedback. Each update will expand the story with new characters and more scenes with prior characters. These updates will culminate in the game's full release which will also conclude the story.
Supergiant released no firm details on a 1.0 release date. You can now add Hades II to your wishlist on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
