Halo 4 double XP unlocked with Dew, Doritos purchases

Halo fans hoping to level up their soldiers more expeditiously in November's Halo 4 can pick up Mountain Dew and Doritos products to earn double experience points, parent company PepsiCo announced today.

Beginning October 15, players who purchase Mountain Dew's special Game Fuel soft drink (at right) and specially marked Doritos products can begin entering codes through the promotion's website.

More information on the promotion can be found at the official website. Halo 4 launches worldwide on November 6 exclusively for the Xbox 360. It is a direct sequel to 2007's Halo 3, and is the first numbered entry in the series developed at 343 Industries.

[CORRECTION] An earlier version of this story indicated gamers could customize their weapon loadouts through the promotion's website. In fact, players can only customize their arsenals through the Xbox 360 itself. GameSpot regrets the error.

too bad I dont drink soda or eat chips.. well chips rarely but when i do its definitely not pos doritos. Shouldve done this with something better

Mountain Dew is like the nectar of the soda gods, I've got Code Red practically running through my veins. It's amazing how I've been able to stay skinny and avoid the 'beetus (guess it's all the exercise). But my love for the Dew doesn't stretch THIS far....I don't even have an Xbox, so the promo won't affect me.

But Doritos.....yeeeah....gross.

Having a single soda and chips won't make you fat. EXCEEDING having them will make you fat, as well as any other food if you eat too much of it. Let's not get too serious about obesity. Just use proper discretion when eating ANYTHING.
