Hard-to-Find Xbox One Elite Controller Back in Stock at Some Stores
It's back! For now at least.
Microsoft's hard-to-find Xbox One Elite controller is again available to buy at some retailers.
Right now, the $150 controller is in stock at Best Buy and GameStop, while the product's Amazon page says the pad will be available to order on January 23. The controller remains sold out at Microsoft's store. If you're interested, you may want to act quickly, as the controller has been known to sell out in a flash.

Although the Elite controller is back in stock at some retailers, Microsoft said in a previous statement that the pad will continue to face "limited supply" through March 2016.
There are other ways to get your hands on an Elite controller. You can buy the $500 Xbox One Elite model that launched in November; it comes with a 1 TB console and the unique, transforming controller. In addition, GameStop is offering an Elite + Halo 5: Guardians bundle for $200.
The Elite controllers are sold out because Microsoft "totally underestimated" the appeal of the pad, CMO Chris Capossela recently said. Microsoft originally wanted to produce more, but the feedback from E3 was that $150 was too steep, so they scaled back.
