Heavy Weapon next XBLA release

Hmmm Whats with all the negative comments? I mean I'm happy playing Assault hero's, Doom, Geometry Wars, Uno, Small Arms, Robo blitz etc etc. Whats the problem? I mean seriously these games are targeted at the CASUAL games market thats the whole pojnt of XBLA. If you want the big experience then go ahead and buy Gears of war or COD3 or Rainbow 6 Vegas or something, Myself I'mn happy with both sides. As for those people constantly whining about the price... If you think its too expensive then DONT BUY IT. I mean seriously are you guys that poor that you can afford an Xbox 360 an Xbox live subscription a broadband internet connection yet you cant afford $10? Jeez thats less than the price of a decent meal FFS. I can sympathise with complaints about rehashed old ports of arcade games with no improvements but this game is a completely new game that you barely know ANYTHING about! oh and the reason that most arcade games score in the regions of 7 - 8 out of 10 instead of 9 or 10... I mean come on how can a game either 10 years old or developed by 3 guys in a small office compete with games developed by huge teams over a couple of years costing millions of dollars! That would just be stupid to expect! Grr stupid people

$10 is steep...haven't seen any must have games in a very long time.

This is ridiculous that they release one game per week. Come on MS get with the program and start releasing games when finished. The links to the games people want is always there. There is no reason to sit on 1 game per week. I doubt it's effecting sales. Well here's another game I'll get the trial too, and not spend any money on...

I wish this was "Heavy Barrel" the coin-op Arcade game that was hard as hell.

Sounds cool. But will probably be decent at best. The Xbox Live Arcade needs a good game. Thank god for Symphony of Night.

They should release the punisher... that old side scrolling brawler that was in arcades! that game was the jam!

Sounds pretty crud. To be honest the only arcade game I play is lumines, and even that hasn't delivered value for money since they only included half the game. Live Arcade has a long way to go before its Library of games is deemed to be quality.

yippee another crappy download..this is because microsoft doesnt have much of a library to offer--since they havent been in the console franchise for long--and they dont want to release xbox 1 games because it would make people not play the original xbox anymore--come on xbox--get some good games--something bigger than 30 meg crap

Blast it--I was vaguely interested in the Heavy Weapon news until I read this, and realized that I was confusing Heavy Weapon (a so-so tank game with power-ups) and Heavy Barrel (a great old game in the same line as Ikari Warriors, Midnight Resistance, and others, that had a 8-way rotating stick to control both movement and aiming, and an uber-weapon that you collect in pieces). Oh well. PopCap is kind of annoying anyway--they keep wanting $20 for $5 games. :-/

I love this game so much

I just got my XBox 360 over the holiday and I'm ashamed to say that I have more live arcade games than I do actual Xbox cd's. Not only are they cheaper, but I actually like the gameplay and graphics on a lot of the original titles. I still say that the must own XBLA game would definitely have to be Castlevania SOTN. I'm just waiting to hear something about the release date so tha I can put that on my calender. My plea to Microsoft...please bring us the games that we would actually love to play instead of just throwing out XBLA games just for throwing them out's sake. I appreciate you for Castlevania, but I am left wondering how long you are going to let me wait for the one game that I so truly covet--months...years. I guess we'll see.

I used to play this game on the PC all the time. You can download the demo of the PC version on any site that sells games for download, like pogo.com.

Another nice addition to Xbox Live Arcade,but Castlevania is by far the best game added onto Xbox Live Arcade.

This one looks pretty good. I'm looking forward to giving it a shot next week.
