"Be the first on front lines--snag the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition today and get the Hellfighter, Red Baron, and Lawrence of Arabia packs full of themed weapons and gear; five extra Battlepacks stuffed with great items; and access to the full game on October 18, three days before release," reads the official Battlefield 1 website.

The full list of content included in the Battlefield 1 Early Enlister Deluxe Edition can be found below.

  • Early Access on October 18th
  • Hellfighter Pack
  • Red Baron Pack
  • Lawrence of Arabia Pack
  • 5x Battlepacks

Battlefield 1 is set during World War I and features new melee weapons, horses, and biplanes. EA revealed the game during a special event streamed through Twitch and YouTube. It showed many of the weapons and vehicles that players will be able to use in battle, including tanks, battleships, artillery, and flamethrowers. Given the game's setting, trench warfare will also be a core element of the gameplay. You can watch the first Battlefield 1 trailer here.

EA or Origin Access members on Xbox One and PC will be able to play the game on October 18. The full release, however, will be on October 21. Those that preorder the game will receive the Hellfighter pack, which includes items inspired by the Harlem Hellfighters, as well as seven days of early access to a new map coming "later in 2016."

Will this be like EA's Star Wars game that shipped with little content, and told players to wait for DLC's?

"5x Battlepacks"

Ugh. Was hoping there'd be no randomization involved. That you'd be able to actually choose what to unlock.

For these to possess any perceived value, it will need to take time to unlock whatever stuff. I barely remember specifics about BF3 any longer, but in BF4 battlepacks manage to be both worthless and annoying as they force you to sit around and wait forever to unlock the weapon attachments you want. Since you essentially have to start over the attachment unlock path for every single weapon, that has had the effect of me sticking to a single one. And roughly half of what you get in these randomized packs are boosters. I have literally hundreds of those. I never use them, because I want to play the game and enjoy doing so, not fiddle around in menus and feel pressure to perform or this booster will have been wasted and get pissed off when things don't go well, because I don't play these games to get angry.

Battlepacks are worthless annoying garbage that make the game worse.

Yeah but we don't know what any of that actually is, so this article is useless information that's found on the website for the actual game

Does that mean that you aren't able to unlock the Red Baron skin with the default edition? Because that's very lame if true.

And this also means that the hated battle-pack system is back >:(

$20 to play the game 3 days early along with a few skin packs YAY.....this is making the COd $80 pack look better because for $20 extra you get a second game but i am kinda shocked that they havent done the "Season Pass" announcement already maybe they will wait till the game is out before talking about DLC. In the end it dont really matter as people will but it all anyway :/

Umm...that doesn't sound like a good deal at all.

Good grief EA, it's not even surprising any longer.

We're now in the days of paying for "early access" to this and that. Early access to this turd, early access to a ............ map? Wow.

Awesome move on a competitive game EA. Brilliant as always. You sure don't have your head up your own ass on this one. No way.

no mention of the season pass yet, which is great news and show that dice/EA have learned from bf3/bf4/hardline and how they interact with the community and rebuilding that trust and respect; I'm not saying there wont be a season pass, but its nice that they didn't shove it down our throats day 1. however this is unsurprisingly the first bit of greed we can see for the next battlefield via deluxe edition, which doesn't seem worth it even though we don't know the full details of these different packs. battlepacks are back, not supper thrilled about that, so its not a stretch to imagine shortcut packs could be back; and the paid early access is a crappy idea. its only 3 days but in a MP focused game that means alot of people will be way ahead in terms of loadouts by the time the full launch occurs.

@stevhall88: That is suspiciously absent. I don't believe it is included. Neither is it mentioned in the Collectors Edition which runs for $220.00.

Well that's easy enough to figure out. What's inside the $80 deluxe edition is something that is nowhere near $80. Didn't need an article to explain this.

@Ar54ad:

This sounds like a good deal to you?

I'm not even a COD fan but doesn't it's version near this price include a remaster? That's sounds like a much better deal than this.
