Here's How Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Works On Game Pass

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is coming to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass when it drops this October, and now we have the full details on how Game Pass subscribers will access it. In short, only Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members are getting Black Ops 6 at launch. Here's everything you need to know.

What tiers of Game Pass get Black Ops 6?

Game Pass subscribers will be able to access Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at launch on October 25 if they are actively subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass. Black Ops 6 will not be available at launch for players with Game Pass Standard or Game Pass Core.

If you're an existing subscriber of Xbox Game Pass for console, you'll be able to play Black Ops 6 at launch through your membership so long as you have automatic payments toggled on and remain a subscriber when Black Ops 6 comes out in October. This membership tier is not available for new subscribers any longer, however.

When will Black Ops 6 come to other Game Pass tiers?

Microsoft has not said when precisely Black Ops 6 will launch on Game Pass Standard or Game Pass Core, if it ever does at all. What we do know is that subscribing to Game Pass Standard or Game Pass Core does not include "immediate" access to first-party Xbox games when they launch.

"New day one games available with Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass (both receive day one games) will not be immediately available with Game Pass Standard and may be added to the library at a future date. This could be up to 12 months or more and will vary by title," a Microsoft spokesperson told GameSpot.

What about streaming?

Black Ops 6 will be available to stream via Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now at launch on October 25. You will need a Game Pass Ultimate subscription to play via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
