Highway to the Reich goes gold
Matrix Games' Airborne Assault sequel parachutes into manufacturing today.
Airborne Assault players will soon be able to re-join the Battle for Holland, now that Highway to the Reich has gone gold.
Based on the AA engine, Highway gives chit-based strategy gamers command of Operation Market Garden, the ill-fated 1944 Allied assault into southern Holland. The game includes the battle for Arhem, featured in Airborne Assault: Red Devils Over Arnhem, as well as the operation's two other conflicts, the battles for Nijmegen and Eindhoven.
Sporting in-depth historical detail, Highway to the Reich also features variable authority delegation, real-time objectives, "fog of war" unpredictability, and advanced enemy AI. The game is also playable in single- or multiplayer mode online or over a LAN.
Highway to the Reich will march into stores on October 27 and carries an MSRP of $49.99.
