This would be a great gift idea if you're starting your holiday shopping early and need something for the PS5 player in your life. It's worth noting that you can buy the standard edition of Horizon Forbidden West for $50 right now at Amazon. Considering the Complete Edition retails for $60, the standard edition will likely receive a permanent price cut.

PC players can wishlist the game on Steam and the Epic Games Store to be alerted when preorders are available.

Horizon Forbidden West is the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, also available on PC and PlayStation. Players take the role of Aloy, a young huntress living in a far future long after a civilization-ending apocalypse wiped out most humans, and giant dinosaur-like robots roam the planet. Aloy explores the vast forests, deserts, and jungles that now cover the Earth on a quest to learn more about the mysterious origins of her and her people. Would get the Complete Edition if I didn't already have Horizon Forbidden West. Just need the DLC though $60 isn't bad for everything you are getting.

Interesting that they're going $60 for Complete after having insisted on $70 for so long with the original release. I wonder if that price had affected sales adversely...

@YukoAsho: that’s very doubtful it had any negative effect on the sales. Whoever wanted the game, got it. The $10 difference can hardly stop anyone. The game is almost 2 years old by now. Of course, it wouldn’t retail for $70 now.

@boobytrap: Yeah, and you get the base game for free with PS+. This is more for the hardcore fans, who would may already have this, but not all of it in one place, or one physical package also.

@jenovaschilld: it’s also good for those who never got the game and now they can get it along with the DLC as a bundle deal.
