Horror Anthology 50 States Of Fright Returns, Watch Creepy New Trailer
Quibi's anthology show is produced by The Evil Dead's Sam Raimi and new episodes have arrived.
The future of the short form video streaming platform Quibi is uncertain, following the reports last week that the company is already exploring a potential sale. However, the service continues to release new shows, and the horror anthology series 50 States of Fright has now returned for new episodes.
The series is produced by Evil Dead and Spider-Man director Sam Raimi, and the first season was released when the service launched back in April. The new episodes will release daily until October 7, and continue the theme of focusing on different US states to tell its spooky stories. This time Iowa, Washington, Colorado, and Missouri are the settings--check the new trailer out below.
The cast of these latest episodes include Taissa Farmiga (The Nun), Ron Livingston (The Conjuring), Rory Culkin (Lords of Chaos), Lulu Wilson (Becky), and Christina Ricci (Sleepy Hollow). The directors include Quiet Place writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, and Daniel Goldhaber (Cam).
50 States of Fright isn't the only anthology horror series hitting streaming this Halloween season. Hulu is premiering the eight-episode show Monsterland, while leading horror producers Blumhouse (Get Out, The Purge) has made a series of new feature-length horror movies for Prime Video, collectively titled Welcome to the Blumhouse. In addition, Shudder's popular Creepshow will return for a special animated Halloween special, written by Stephen King and Joe Hill.
