A pair of devastating hurricanes recently devastated parts of Florida and surrounding states, and many might be wondering what they can do to help. The American Red Cross is one of the organizations helping to provide relief to people affected by the natural disasters, and you can help those efforts by playing games on your Xbox.

Xbox users can convert their Microsoft Rewards points into donations to the American Red Cross for the recent Milton and Helene hurricanes. Microsoft has held similar donation campaigns with the American Red Cross before, including an effort to raise money and awareness for COVID-19 relief back in 2020.

To donate to the American Red Cross via Xbox, you need to be a Microsoft Rewards member (sign up on your Xbox or online at the Microsoft Rewards website). You get Microsoft Rewards by playing games, completing Game Pass quests, renting/buying movies, and by purchasing Xbox games.

Hurricane Milton made landfall on October 10, causing significant damage to coastal communities and leaving more than 3 million people without power. The effects of Milton were particularly devastating to local communities in part because it came just two weeks after hurricane Helene.

If you're looking for something new to play on Xbox right now, Xbox Game Pass recently added the deck-building card game Inscryption, which GameSpot praised upon its release in 2021.
