iGame announces PlayStation 2 tour

iGame has announced that it will hold the PlayStation 2 Hot Summer Games Tour from July 14 until August 5. Hosted by Electronics Boutique, the tour will kick off in Seattle and continue on to 11 US cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and San Francisco. Sponsored by SCEA, Electronic Arts, Rockstar Games, Ubi Soft, and Midway, the tour will feature more than 20 games to sample. Most of the games on the tour will have been released by the time it begins, but a few notable exceptions include Extermination, Rune: Viking Warlord, Legion: The Legend of Excalibur, Arctic Thunder, and Spy Hunter.

"We continue to focus on consumer demand while expanding the market for the PlayStation 2, the industry's best-selling computer entertainment system," said Sharon Shapiro, director of promotions, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "This tour is a perfect opportunity for existing and future PlayStation 2 owners to sample our latest first- and third-party software offerings, which encompass a broad range of genres for all ages."
