IGI 2: Covert Strike pushed back
Codemasters delays the release of its upcoming action game sequel to continue development of the game's multiplayer mode.
Codemasters has announced that it has delayed the release of IGI 2: Covert Strike, its upcoming first-person action game. The game, which was previously scheduled for release in June, will not be available until September. The delay will give the developers more time to polish the game's multiplayer mode.
IGI 2: Covert Strike is the sequel to Project IGI: I'm Going In, which was released in late 2000. The new game will include a number of improvements upon its predecessor, including better 3D graphics and artificial intelligence, as well as new multiplayer modes and a new save-game feature. The game is being developed at Innerloop Studios, the developer that created the previous game. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
