inFamous: Second Son sells 1m in nine days, meaning roughly a sixth of all PS4 owners bought it

Sony says Second Son, the first big PS4 exclusive of 2014, is the fastest-selling title in the inFamous series.

inFamous: Second Son shifted one million copies worldwide after nine days on sale, Sony has said.

According to a press release sent to CVG, Sony adds that this makes it the fastest-selling inFamous title in the series, and with six million PlayStation 4's sold around the globe it means roughly one in every six console owners have snapped up a copy of the open-world game.

inFamous: Second Son was released on March 21.

Unsurprisingly, inFamous: Second Son was also last month's best-selling game on PlayStation Network. The game's upcoming patch will bring with it some additional features.

I was really surprised how good this game was. I played the first two Infamous games and thought they were ok but this one really kept me hooked. Best game of this gen so far.

Infamous is a good game but not a system seller. 1 mil in 9 days is pretty good but not great. Infamous may look pretty but it still plays Like the others. Infamous is not enough for me to drop alone on a ps4 yet I'll wait for a true system seller and that's uncharted

Truly impressive achievement for Infamous. Over 1 million in just 9 days is just superb. The game truly raised the bar on visuals and I love the 3 super powers.

While Infamous cannot be compared to an online only multiplayer game as Titanfall, I wonder why Microsoft has not revealed any sales numbers for a while, there is even complete sepulcral silent for xbone sales for a long time.

Only played for an hour or two so far, due to my PS4 not around me right now. Although no groundbreaking new gameplay, it does have great visuals and it is extremely fun with all the smoke powers! Definitely gonna continue to play it when I got the chance again...
