Injustice 2: Darkseid Joins the Roster as Preorder Bonus

The new trailer for Netherrealm's Injustice 2 that premiered today not only sheds new light on the fighting game's story, but it also confirms the game's next playable character and more.

The DC supervillain Darkseid is joining the roster. You can get Darkseid by preordering Injustice 2, though it remains to be seen if he will be available to unlock by other means.

History suggests that Darkseid will eventually be attainable without preordering. Another Netherrealm game, Mortal Kombat X, offered Goro as a preorder bonus before making him available to everyone as DLC.

Today's Injustice 2 trailer also showed off another villain, Brainiac, who appears to be the central antagonist in the story. You can watch the trailer in the video embedded above.

Injustice 2 launches on May 16 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Some of the other playable characters include Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Batman, Superman, Supergirl, Aquaman, Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, Blue Beetle, and Wonder Woman.
