Injustice 2's First DLC Characters Revealed With New Trailer

I don't think they should be using MK characters either. The whole draw to them is their ultra violent moves and sadly as we're dealing with WB and DC here as opposed to simply just Netherealm, no-one is going to allow batman to have his arms yanked from their sockets or his brain cut in half. You take MK characters out of an MK game and it's like taking the venom out of a Cobra. They shouldn't be "neutered" but left as nature intended! Without all the gore and OTT brutality I'm sorry to say Ed (Boon) that the characters are as dull as dishwater and have no place standing alongside true icons!

I'm excited for this game, but still $40 for 9 dlc characters and costumes is rediculous it's almost the cost of the game just for characters. Gaming these days is a money pit. At times i don't mind but for a fighting game...not so much.

I can only assume people that the people who complain about knowing what they want to do for DLC ahead of time have never actually worked on a large software project. It's called Scope and scope creep. Let's say I'm designing a website for people to buy stuff from. For sure with the 1.0 release I need user accounts, product pages and a shopping cart system.

I'd love for them to set up and save wishlists, purchase items as gifts, set watches for price changes and suggest similar items as well. If I wanted all these "extra" stuff for my 1.0 my site would be launched much later and the cost of development would increase as well. Adding this extra stuff into 1.0 is called Scope Creep and it continues unabated until development costs too much, a product is never released and it eventually dies. This is close to what Star Citizen seems to be doing and it's a development no-no.

It's not a bad thing to know you eventually want user features like this. It's important to scope out ahead so you develop with that in mind. For instance, if you know you eventually want a fighter after 1.0 that mainly fights in the air, you can develop the rest of the fighters with high blocks ahead of time. If you don't scope out like this and try to add something like that later, you end up having to either re-develop/balance other characters just for this one extra character you couldn't scope into 1.0 because you didn't look ahead and do proper scoping to begin with.

Why Sub Zero when we already have Captain Cold?

I know people wanted Red Hood and Starfire a lot... maybe Spawn and Static aren't that far.

The obvious Black Manta silhouette is obviously Black Manta, but he's part of a stage transition (which is why I assumed he wouldn't be playable in this game)... if one of the players is playing as him in the Atlantis stage, will someone else take his place in that event?

Oh good. I'm so glad we already know the first DLC for a game that ISN'T EVEN RELEASED YET! This kind of crap is total BS.

How about they pack all this dlc in the 60 dollar cost of the game instead of charging extra for this bullshit? So tired of dlc talk before a game comes out. We shouldn't have to pay extra for content related to a game that we've already purchased. I've taken this game off my list.

Gonna wait for it to go on a deep discount before buying it. Shame too, I was really looking forward to it.

I loved the first Injustice, I love Netherrealm studios, but they're falling into the same BS practices as many others. The game isn't even out yet and they already have an Ultimate Edition?? They already have determined what DLC characters are going to be even before the game is out?? Sorry but I'll wait for the inevitable Ultra Ultimate GOTY edition that will be around 20-30 bucks. There's plenty of other games to play until then

This is so dumb. They already know what extra characters they're going to make and even have a trailer for it BEFORE the game comes out? Why not just delay the game and put that stuff in it this is ridiculous!

game hvent gome out and already hve a DLC, **** this shit, i refuse to give my money to a incomplete game. this sucks, will hve to wait a year for a complete edition (Complete game).

I really hope all the titans are in this one. Starfire, cyborg, and robin (dont think he's the titans robin but still) are in it. Beastboy and raven are too dope not to be in it.

I didn't want any Mortal Kombat characters and now they're making two DLC? I really hope that Raiden silhouette is a trick and it's really Katana or something and yeah it doesn't look like a woman but I don't know who would wear the hat. It would kind of be great if it's not even in the characters gear and they literally throw the hat away when they're announced. Anyway that's really disappointing when I can think of 50 more DC characters who would be great in a fighting game and plenty of guests that would make more sense too. Etrigan, Spectre, Metamorpho, Beast Boy, Negative Man, Rac Shade there's so many characters with great power sets that would add a lot to Injustice and deserve the push in popularity that comes from being in a game like this.

Does anyone know why this is not coming to PC? MKX was released on PC. I know the initial port of that game was awful but they fixed it eventually and released all the DLC on PC as well. I really want to buy this day 1 so I guess the PS4 version will do =/

So many characters to choose and they put subzero. I really hate this. The same way I really hate scorpion in first game.

I hate this DLC model. I miss the old school fighting games where you had to unlock characters by fighting and beating the game (Super Smash Bros or Marvel vs Capcom 2 on the Dreamcast comes to mind). I love DC and I really enjoy the vibe of the first game but I guess I just haven't evolved with the fighting franchise as I also dislike the juggling aspect of modern fighters and because of that I don't grow to level where I can compete in most of the in-game features and modes. What I want to be a day one purchase will probably be reduced to waiting for the discounted version of the ultimate/unlimited addition.

Cool. Looking forward to Injustice 2 launch day and cannot wait to try out Starfire along with Sub-Zero cause I always like him over Scorpion.
