Injustice 2's Next Character Is Swamp Thing, Watch Him In Action Here

As promised, NetherRealm has revealed the next playable character for Injustice 2 today: Swamp Thing.

Swamp Thing is a new addition to the series, not having appeared in 2013's Gods Among Us. He looks to be the big bruiser type, based on the debut gameplay video clip. You can watch it below (via IGN).

The video opens with Swamp Thing and Robin exchanging threats before Robin proceeds to get the hell beaten out of him for most of the ensuing 80 seconds. It is Swamp Thing's time to shine, after all.

A number of his abilities are on display, including the ability to grow branches to knock back foes, sink into the ground to avoid attacks, and a finishing move the pulls an enemy into the ground to absolutely annihilate them.

Injustice 2 launches for PS4 and Xbox One on May 16. The ongoing closed beta recently added Black Canary to its playable roster.
