Ironheart's First Clips Premiere At D23

Marvel shared a very brief look at the live-action Ironheart series spinning out of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Ever since Disney announced plans to cut back on the number of Marvel shows heading to Disney+, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever spin-off series, Ironheart, has been kind of on the backburner. But at D23, Marvel finally debuted some new footage of Dominique Thorne reprising her role as Riri Williams in her own show.

Marvel hasn't dropped any of the Ironheart clips online yet, but we can tell you that Riri is back at MIT, and she no longer has the same resources that she had in Wakanda Forever. Community's Jim Rash reappears as the Dean of MIT from Captain America: Civil War, and it seems like Riri may be expelled from the school.

More than anything else, Riri wants to rebuild her Ironheart armor. That's where Anthony Ramos' Parker Robbins comes in. Parker may not be The Hood yet, but he's leading Riri down a dark path as they steal what she needs for the suit. The early look at her new armor seems more handmade than the suit she built in Wakanda. Riri also seems to realize that what she's doing is wrong, but she still does it anyway.

Executive producer Ryan Coogler, as well as Thorne, and other cast members were at Marvel's D23 presentation. And they confirmed that Ironheart will premiere on Disney+ in 2025.

In the meantime, the Daredevil: Born Again trailer thrilled D23's crowd, as did the Human Torch's costume in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Star Wars was well-represented by a trailer for Skeleton Crew and the first footage from The Mandalorian and Grogu. Toy Story 5 is also on the way, and Avatar 3 finally has a name.

Additional reporting by Chris Hayner.

More like iron fart. This will not be a good movie. The Director has never seen any of the comics nor cares about quality just woke agenda. Now these movies are pushing agenda, not making a good movie or for it to be fun.

@tempest_prime: It's yet another TV series you have to watch if you don't wanna be lost if you only watch the movies. Having the shows be directly connected to the movies was a dumbass idea and why I dropped out after Endgame. At least with comics you can knock out a ton of them in a day. The shows and movies you gotta actually dedicate you're time and days to it.

Even then. Most of the time the plot just gets tossed aside when brought up. Like Wandavision and Multiverse of Madness. She tortures a whole town due to PTSD and it literally gets hand waved away by Dr Strange in the movie as if it wasn't a horrific act and gross abuse of power.
