Is Diablo 4 Vessel Of Hatred On Game Pass? No, It's Not Happening

Diablo IV's Vessel of Hatred expansion is only available for those who buy it outright.

Diablo IV's Vessel of Hatred expansion launches on October 7, and many are wondering if the premium expansion will be available through Game Pass like the base game is. Blizzard has clarified how players can access Vessel of Hatred, and there is one answer: Buy it.

Vessel of Hatred is a $40 expansion to the game, and purchasing it outright is the only way to access it at launch. Game Pass subscribers can, however, save $4 via Game Pass Ultimate, knocking the price down to $36.

A Deluxe Edition of Vessel of Hatred ($60, or $54 with Game Pass Ultimate) and Ultimate Edition ($90, or $81 with Game Pass Ultimate) are also available for the expansion, each packed with their own additional bonuses and perks.

Vessel of Hatred arrives on October 7 alongside a major update to the base game for all Diablo IV players that increases the level cap to 60 and Paragon max level to 300. The update also adds two more character slots, a party-finder feature, more seasonal content and rewards, and a new difficulty system.

People who buy the Vessel of Hatred expansion get access to a new campaign, including the Nahantu region, along with the Spiritborn class, and more. For more, check out GameSpot's rundown of Diablo IV's Vessel of Hatred launch times and preload information.

Diablo IV came to Game Pass in March, marking the first title from Activision Blizzard to join the catalog following Microsoft's acquisition of the company.

If Diablo 4 didn't take up 18 quintillion gb of space, I'd probably have kept playing.

@ltkcentaur: Dude, D4 takes up 90 ish gig of space. Whether pc or console a 1 tb of M.2 is around $55 at any store. That is $55 / 1000= 0.055c per gb. And 0.055 times 90= $4.95. D4 is sitting on 5 whole bucks of space on your system.

So basically, do some house keeping on your system, and clean up old games. You can always take 4 min to reinstall old games from disc or download, if need. You will be fine, a large size game is not the end of the world. No one needs a few dozen games at the ready, at all times.

@jenovaschilld: But Gabe says if I uninstall even one of the 320 copies of HL2 he installed on my system, he'll come to my house and destroy my PC with a crowbar :(
